Summary
This comprehensive, full-time QQI Level 5 course is designed to prepare you for creating successful portfolios in a variety of visual arts disciplines, including Animation, Visual Arts Practice, Visual Communication Design, Fashion, Product Design, Design for Screen & Stage as well as 3D Design and Model-making + Digital Art.
We provide an integrated cross-disciplinary structure that allows our experienced staff to tailor the programme to meet each student’s individual needs and goals. This unique approach enables students to gain knowledge and skills from all aspects of the visual arts industry, giving them a competitive edge when entering the job market or pursuing further study.

Every student is provided with dedicated studio space and the opportunity to explore a diverse array of media.
While portfolio preparation is a core component, this course goes beyond simply creating a collection of work. Applications to our Portfolio Preparation course can be made by applicants who are aged 17 or over and who have completed the Leaving Certificate and/or a QQI Level 4 programme. Mature applicants (i.e. applicants over the age of 23) do not need to have completed a Leaving Certificate.
Applicants must possess a keen interest in the arts and be willing to commit to a full-time programme. There is no portfolio or interview required to gain entry onto this course.
